> Storage Village cares

The way we see it, as your trusted self-storage company, we have a responsibility to the neighborhood. That’s why Storage Village started out in 1988 with community service as one of its core values. Well, the years may have gone by and the scenery may have changed, but one thing remains constant: our steadfast commitment to making this area a better place to live and work. That’s why every single member of the Storage Village family dedicates at least eight working hours each month to community service initiatives, and why we offer special storage accommodations to community service oriented, non-profit organizations year round.

To tell you the truth, we’ve been overwhelmed with positive feedback from the community and within the Storage Village family. Below are just a few of our many testimonials:

“[Storage Village employee] James is a great example of our core value of community service. Each Monday, James and I serve needy individuals and families at the Homeless Prevention Shelter of the Western Fairfax Christian Ministries. This shelter is located in Chantilly, VA. I have observed the care and concern he shows when dealing with the families that come in. He seems to genuinely enjoy putting smiles on the faces of the people who come in, who are in emergency situations or dire circumstances. Some are on the verge of homelessness, some have lost jobs, or are facing economic difficulty. He goes out of his way to let them know that even though their current situation may be difficult, someone is ‘in their corner’ and there to help.”

“Since February 1, 2007, there have been three people in particular who have best represented our core value of community service. Harvey, Malcolm and Lisa have demonstrated a clear understanding of the idea behind the value – helping and giving IS our greatest reward. None have missed their community service dates and Lisa has even gone as far as giving more than the required hours on a number of occasions. Jeanine, incidentally, has not missed community service since she has been assigned to full-time duty and should be commended for her commitment as well."
